I am a real Southern Soulboy, as a teenager I visited famous jazz Funk clubs such as The Global Village, Crackers & The 100 Club in London’s West End. I helped discover Pete Tong and as his roadie used to warm up at the Kings Lodge & Hilltop in Kent. I was the founder of the Gravesend Groover tribe and we used to attend the early Caister Soul Weekender events as well as Ally Pally & Knebworth. After bringing up a family and a career with the Royal Navy I came back to the DJ world 25 years ago. I returned to the scene playing at Caister Soul Weekender for 20 years and now Great Yarmouth Soul Weekender. I run a well-known weekender “The Kent Soul Sessions” as well as a bi-monthly residency at “Soul Reunited” in Romford and I also play at the Margate Soul Festival and have become a regular at Sunny Hunny & Soul Family Affair. Although I am well known for playing tracks from the fabulous “Philadelphia International Records” label, my first love has always been Jazz-Funk.
